Municipal Addressing
The main goal of Municipal Addressing is to maintain a consistent system to assist emergency services when they’re trying to find your home, business, field or building in an emergency.
We want to ensure that most properties have a unique address making it easy to identify and locate. Consistent municipal addressing can also help improve services from local government and utility companies.
It’s not just a number; it can save your life.
To obtain a new municipal address (911 number), request an address change or replace a missing or damaged sign; please fill out the online form, print, fill out and submit a form, or call the Building Department at 519-595-2800. Please note that your sign will not be processed until payment is received.
Please refer to the Building Fees Section of the Fees and Charges By-law for the most up to date fee.
If you wish to read the Municipal Addressing By-law, please contact the Clerk’s Office at 519-595-2800 ext. 223
