The "RZone" is an operating procedure that has been adopted by the Township of Perth East, to have a code of conduct that applies to all Township facilities, programs, parks and trails. The RZone procedure enforces a set of expectations around violence, vandalism and inappropriate behaviour for participants and members of the public.
What does RZone mean? |
The ‘R' in the logo stands for Respect and Responsibility.

How was the RZone created? |
The original RZone was created by the Town of Oakville, in order to create a code of conduct that was easily understood and recognizable by users of recreational facilities in the Town. With the success of this policy, many municipalities in Canada adopted their own Rzone policies, with permission from the Town of Oakville. Council of the Township of Perth East formally adopted our own RZone Policy on September 5, 2019. |
How do I report an act of violence, vandalism and/or inappropriate behaviour? |

If you have any questions regarding reporting an incident, please contact Perth East Recreation and Community Services at (519) 595-8375. |

If I report an incident, what could potentially happen? |
Please review the Township's RZone Enforcement Guidelines for more detailed information on consequences and enforcement. It is understood that these guidelines do not include all types of behaviour, that each incident will be reviewed based on information available. Consequences may be more severe or escalated depending on the circumstances of the inappropriate conduct. |
