Our Building Department is happy to help you with your building needs.
The primary role of the Building Department is to review, issue, and inspect building permits to ensure that structures are safe, accessible, and comply with the Ontario Building Code. Through the enforcement of the Ontario Building Code, staff ensure that a minimum standard of health, life, and fire safety standards are maintained.
When do I need a Building Permit from the Township of Perth East? |
A building permit is generally required for, but is not limited to, the following:

Design Requirements |
All drawings submitted are required to be prepared by the owner, qualified designer, architect or professional engineer. Review the requirements to see who would be qualified as a designer for your project. |
Inspections |
If your permit states that you must have an inspection, you must contact the Building Department to book the inspection. There are two ways that you can book an inspection. 1) Request an Inspection Online 2) Phone the Building Assistant at (519) 595-2800, ext 241 or leave a message and your inspection call will be returned. You must have your permit number to book an inspection. Please request your inspection online or by telephone with 24 hours notice. |
