Household Hazardous Waste
Most households contain materials that can be hazardous and must be disposed of carefully. Improper disposal can be dangerous to people and the environment. Our landfills, storm drains and sewage treatment plants are not designed to treat chemical wastes. Without special treatment, the chemicals may pose a threat to our own health and environment.
Household Hazardous Waste Events
The Township of Perth East sponsors one Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event each year, typically in the spring of the year. The location of the event will change annually, and will either be in the north or south district of the Township. This service is for residents only; proof of residency is required. Advertising for the event will typically take place near the end of winter/early spring, please check with the community calendar for the next event.
