Municipal Clerk

The Municipal Clerk is responsible for performing statutory duties under the Ontario Municipal Act, as well as performing duties under the Drainage Act, Vital Statistics Act, Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Planning Act.

The Clerks Department is responsible for:

  • Council / Committee Secretariat
  • Commissioner of Oath
  • By-laws, Registrations, Agreements
  • Lottery and Dog Licences
  • Vital Statistics
  • Freedom of Information
  • Municipal Elections
  • Maintains official records of the Township

 The Municipal Clerk is responsible for the recording of all resolutions, decisions and other proceedings of Council and maintains the safekeeping of all official records of the municipality.
